Super Glue from Harborside Farms via Harborside Desert Hot Springs on 6/19/2020. THC tested out to 25.5%. I don’t 100% remember what I paid for this but I know it was at least upwards of $55 after tax so I’m reviewing it at that price point. River bound, I found myself cruising through the Coachella Valley and wanted to hit the most convenient shop, so when I saw that Harborside was right off the 10 freeway and had a drive through, it sealed the deal. Admittedly, it was a bit strange to look at weed in a jar a few feet away from my car through a thick paned window, but after a few questions and a bit of squinting I ended up going with the budtenders recommendation of Super Glue. These buds are mostly an olive green that dips into shades of forest and chartreuse at times, coupled with nearly unnoticeable pale reddish brown pistils that seem to almost be purposely hiding from view, and a formidable coating of triches that range from snow white to yellowed goldenrod.

The nose out of the jar is a musty floral spice with a faint touch of mint on the back end. Busting open a bud that spice gets louder and takes on a very muted American Yellow mustard like quality. Breaking it down by hand, my fingers have a must with muted cream scent where the grinds themselves give off more of a mild peppery must but it’s not as strong as I’d expect. The dry pull is hard to pin down, it’s a really muted sugar sweet with some sort of paper or wood pulp back end, and just a touch of floral. The inhale is smooth and has a muted pancake syrup quality on the joint where the bong is more a mild sugar sweet with a bit of dough underneath. The exhale off the bong is a light musty floral with a slightly creamy dough, whereas the joint is a generic floral with a muddle freshness that I think leans more piney, but it’s hard to tell. Cross checking the flavors on my MV1 from @ghostvapesofficial, at 170c I get a floral taste with a touch of piney fresh, whereas at 185c it strangely has pretty much no taste at all, with a very muted skunky beer aftertaste. The headchange comes on quick and is fairly heavy. It doesn’t couchlock you up but it does put pressure on you in a way where you’ll feel weighed down and slow to move in every sense. My brain was capable of focusing, and while I wasn’t spacing out at all, it felt like the assembly of my thoughts were impeded in some way and it was a struggle to remain coherent. After the initial effect faded I found myself with a mild buzz and feeling rather tired to the point I needed some coffee to stay motivated and finish out my day. All and all, I thought my experience with this batch was just “okay”, and not really noteworthy. I believe that may be partly to due with the age of the sample as it was packaged way back on 2/3, and while I did sit on it myself for a couple months, it was already in the jar for over four months by the time I got it. While the flower itself looks pretty decent, for the near $60 price point and the experience, I don’t think I’d cop it again. From what I understand, Harborside is a veteran in the California Cannabis scene so I’d love to get my hands on a much more recent batch of something from their library, but this one just didn’t do it for me.
