Jack Kraken from 3c Farms

Jack Kraken from 3c Farms via OG Cannabis Cafe on 2/21/2020. THCa tested out to 21.18%. (Shoutout to Matt at 3C Farms and Red Rodriguez for making it happen) This was gifted to me but it currently goes for $35 at 3C’s shop in Downtown LA. As I’ve said before, I’m a sucker for a well grown Jack Herer, so I was stoked to see 3C’s mythologically named version of it in my sample pack. These airy gangly buds are mix of sea and army greens with pops of dark amber pistils and throngs of spindly white triches with massive dew-like heads.

The nose out of the jar is a brilliant well defined Jack. It’s very floral with a musty spice and hints of citrus. On busting open a bud that citrus moves to the foreground accompanied by a sugary sweetness pushing that floral musty spice to the back. It breaks down very easily by hand while leaving a sticky trich-film on the fingers. The grinds themselves give off strong floral citrus which hits me like the smell of a fresh picked bouquet placed on an old wooden table that’s been recently cleaned with lemon pledge. The dry pull on the joint has a fresh floral sweetness with a touch of spice. The inhale is smooth and has a sweet musty floral taste on both the joint and the bong but leans slightly more earthy on the latter. The exhale from the joint is a sweet floral with a citrus edge that taste like a muted lemon Skittle as where on the bong it has more of a skunky beer taste with just a hint of waxy chocolate. Cross checking the flavor on MV1 from @ghostvapesofficial at 170c I got that familiar light sweet floral where at 185c it was essentially the same, but introduced a bit of that skunky beer element and at 200c, it had more of a sweet cereal taste with that skunky beer still being present on the backend. The headchange comes on quick and with a healthy thwap that leaves you feeling hazy eyed and a little spacey. You’ll be able to focus and get things done in a quiet environment but I found myself easily prone to distraction. It doesn’t have that  paranoid “caffeine” edge that I love in my sativas but that’s typical of Jack in general from my experience. It’s a fantastic wake and bake strain for days off when you don’t have much on your agenda outside of kicking back and playing video games or watching movies as it’ll keep you lifted without fear of putting you down for the count a couple hours later. All and all, this was a fantastic iteration of Jack Herer, and for the price it goes for at 3C’s medical shop in Downtown LA I’d scoop this one up again without hesitation. Excellent stuff once more by the folks at 3C Farms, keep up the great work!
