Animal Mints from Flowers by Fidels

Animal Mints from Flowers by Fidels via Dabberchan Inc on 6/4/2020. No THC test results listed as this is traditional market flower. I got the homie hook up on this one, but I can imagine it’s somewhere in the ballpark of $40-55. This batch consisted of essentially one very dense nug that comprised the entire eighter. A true champion nug. The colors are a mix of pear and british racing greens coupled with aubergine and midnight blue, flairs of orange cream pistils, and coating of triches so absurdly thick it  obscures the true hues of the budscape beneath.

The nose out of the jar is a rubber funky mustiness with a hint of sweetness. On busting open the bud a sweet fruit with a touch of mint emerges while that mustiness gets pushed to the background as it takes on an acrid electric quality. When breaking open the bud by hand, I get a sweet mint with a near eucalyptus quality on my fingers, while the grinds themselves have this savory sweet quality with a minty back end that reminds me of the mix of sauces you use at a Mongolian BBQ to flavor that heaping bowl of frozen meat and vegetables before a usually tired semi angry man throws it on a giant grill. The dry pull on the joint is a strong sweet fruit with a minty undertone. The inhale is smooth, and has a light musty spice on the bong while the joint is very similar, but has a bit of a rubber lean. The exhale on the bong is a combo of a rubber eraser and sweet creamy mint as where on the joint, it’s essentially the same, but leaves a notably strong cool mint sensation on the tongue. Cross checking the flavors on my MV1 from Ghost Vapes, at 170c I get a heavy pine with a cool mint sensation and at 185c, it flips and it’s more of a strong mint with a piney backside. The headchange absolutely smacks and will leave you in a daze. Within an instant my head felt like it was lighter than air as a haze set in behind my eyes and a weight settled into my shoulders. It’s one of those types of herb that gets you higher than you realize, interfering with basic cognitive function, and you only notice when you try to accomplish simple or familiar tasks and they prove somewhat challenging. Luckily it also hits you with a large dose of a semi-euphoric apathy, so when you do catch yourself making those dumb mistakes, you’ll be able to laugh it off and not really care. I really enjoyed this batch of Animal Mints, it’s especially great as a night cap, as I found myself leaning on it to help end my day more than a few times while it’s been with me. If you’re a fan of Animal Mints and can find them, then I’d recommend copping them ASAP as you will not be dissapointed. Fantastic job once again by FidelHydro, I’m continually impressed by your work and can’t wait to get my hands on more of your library.

Raspberry Dosido from Flowers by Fidels

Raspberry Dosido from Flowers by Fidels via Dabberchan Inc on 5/17/2020. No THC test results listed as this is traditional market flower. This usually goes for $40-50 from what I understand. Another absolute banger from Flowers by Fidels. These dense buds are a beautiful mix of string bean green and rich byzantium, plentiful fireplace orange pistils, and a blanket of cream colored triches that get so thick at times it looks like a small snow plow rolled through and made tiny berms along the surface of the nug.

The nose out the jar is a natural smelling berry that reminds me of freshly made fruit preserves with a musty undertone. On busting open a bud, it’s essentially the same, but the fruit smell brightens up a bit and there’s also a faint mint  in the background. Breaking it down by hand that sweet fruit smell seems to morph into more of a powdered fruit punch drink kind of sweet with a hint of mint on the backend. The dry pull on the jay is fruity sweet with a touch of mint which lines up the scent profile perfectly.  The inhale is smooth and has a floral earthy sweet quality on the bong, whereas on the joint that sweet fruit really shines through and makes itself know. The exhale off the bong has a sugar sweetness with the fruit coming in more muted, but on the joint, it’s more of a mild natural sweetness that strikes me as a smoke version of a raspberry Arizona Iced Tea. Cross checking the flavor on my MV1 from @ghostvapesofficial at 170c I get a sweet berry with heavy mint and a touch of floral, where at 185c, the sweet berry flavor surprisingly intensifies while bringing a musty quality with it, as those mint and floral notes continue to kick around in the background. This was definitely one of the more flavorful and complex vape experiences in recent memory. The headchange comes on quick and with a dumbfounding thwack that will leave you rooted in every positive aspect of the word. There’s a haziness that puts pressure on the back of your eyes as it creeps into your shoulders and puts a weight on your limbs that’s only second to the strain it puts on your cognition. Your brain will cease to function for any sort of strenuous task but you’ll also very much cease to care. It’s a great end of week strain that can quickly put your mind and body at ease. I really enjoyed this batch of Raspberry Dosido and would cop another jar without hesitation. Great work once again Fidel Hydro, it’s evident from the last couple batches that you put out some superior quality flower, I’m very excited to see what comes down the line next.

MAC1 from Flowers by Fidels

MAC1 from Flowers by Fidels via Dabberchan Inc on 5/17/2020. No THC test results listed as this is traditional market flower. Since it’s traditional market it’s a bit of If You Know You Know staus, but it typically goes for $40-50 from what I understand. Flowers by Fidels has been blowing up as of late on instagram, so when I saw my boy Dabberchan had a batch of his MAC1, I knew I had to get my hands on some. These small but mighty nugs are a mix of harlequin and sea greens with wine colored lilts, compacted pale orange twine pistils, and an avalanche of brilliant white triches that give it that signature MAC look.

The nose out of the jar is a deep peppery must with just a hint of cream filling out the back end. On busting open a bud the sweet cream takes center stage along with a berry scent while pushing that deep acrid must to wait in the wings. When breaking it down by hand the grinds are a delicious mix of sweet berry cream with a musty peppery tang that matches up with my best MAC experiences. A sweet fruitiness dominates the profile of the dry pull mixed in with a bit of cream and a touch of floral. The inhale is smooth and comes off as an earthy floral with a sugar sweet tang on the joint where the bong is essentially the same but you get a sense for that creaminess. The exhale is a sweet and savory floral with hints of an earthy sweet cream in the background on the joint whereas the bong is more of a sweet and spiced cream with a floral edge. Cross checking the flavors on my MV1 from @ghostvapesofficial , at 170c it’s very floral with a touch of sweet mint and a hint of pine, where at 185c it’s still fresh and floral but seems less defined flavorwise. The headchange comes on quick and with a smack that sends you straight to outer space. It doesn’t hold you back physically by any means but it absolutely wrecks your ability to focus as your mind will wander more than the fictionalized version of Chris McCandless in Into the Wild. Having just reviewed another batch of MAC from Cresco, when stood up side by side, I’d say the Fidels batch shines not only in taste and flavor but in the quality of the smoking experience overall. I’d grab another jar of this in a heartbeat. If you’re a fan of MAC1 and have the opportunity to do so then you definitely should too. Excellent work by Fidel and the Crew! Can’t wait to write up some of these other batches I have on deck.
