Banana Foster by Cold Fire Extracts

Buddy told me about this knowing that I like to go back and forth with Bho and Solventless. This one in particular is a Live Resin Badder produced with Living soil indoor flowers. The appearance was a chunky yellow paste that is the perfect appearance for this product.

When smelling it has a smell of fresh baked banana bread and eucalyptus with some pungent skunk. When dabbing you notice a taste of sweetness and bananas almost like stale banana candy. On the downside their was a quite obvious plant material taste too. Reminded me of a nug run or maybe even trim run taste. Everything looked and smelled right so I’m not sure what that comes from. The high was nice and euphoric and a decent uplifting change. But it seem to have a short life. All in all for the price wasn’t the worst dab but not the best either. Will be trying other flavors to see the consistency.

Pineapple Og by Wonderbrett

Been wanting to try this one for awhile as I love most of the Wonderbrett I’ve had and people keep telling me this is one of their best. So when I saw the smalls available I went and still grabbed. For being smalls these were still good size nugs and I’ve definitely gotten smaller nugs in a regular package of other brands. The nugs were light and darker shades of greens with a pretty standard length and consistency of pistils. Not the prettiest structure but still nice and easy to work with.

The smell was a savory pepper with some sweet maybe mango or some kind of fruity undertones. When smoking it really was an interesting savory sweet smoke that I couldn’t really compare to anything. Maybe even some Mexican candy terps in there. The high really smacked and was an instant mood elevator. I really loved the effects and taste and can’t wait to get the full size nugs and get the full experience. Overall another winner by Wonderbrett in my eyes. Looks like a lot of new flavors coming out by them too so very exciting.

Waiting Game from Curated Cannabis

Waiting Game from Curated Cannabis on 3/12/2021. THC tested out to 19.66%. This was gifted to me but you can find Curated 8ths at Mother Nature’s Remedy in Woodland Hills for $45. It’d been a bit since I’ve had a gem from Curated on the page, so when they hit me up and asked if I wanted to check out their latest batch of Waiting Game, I hopped at the chance. This giant hulked out bud is comprised mostly of chartreuse and lime green accompanied by rashes of amethyst and aubergine, coupled with sporadic wisps of orange tinged twine colored pistils, all of which are besieged by a tightly clustered brigade of tall white triches with bulbous heads giving the whole nug a snowed over look.

The nose out of the jar is very reminiscent of an old wooden spice cabinet, it brings to mind images of peppercorns and dried bay leaves, and comes off as a combo of that classic Jack Herer scent with a really peppery lean. Busting open the bud, I get essentially the same experience, but the pepper aspect gets a hair louder. Breaking it down by hand there’s again, not much of a change smell-wise, but it does seem to shift to a slightly more savory mode as I kept getting whiffs of spiced celery in the background. The inhale is very smooth, and on the bong I get a muted spiced floral, while on the joint it has more of a floral tang. The exhale on the bong is a semi sweet spiced floral with a musty cream underpinning and a distant vague echo of fruit and celery, whereas the joint carries those qualities as well, but the cream comes in just a touch sweeter. Cross checking the flavor on my Ghost Vapes MV1, at 170c I get a semi sweet floral with a light piney finish whereas at 185c, I get a slightly sweeter floral with a pine and hoppy aftertaste. The headchange comes on quick with a hazy headed slap that brings a feel good energy along with it. Mentally I felt perked up and ready to work, I found myself in a positive state of mind and easily able to focus, approaching tasks that only moments early I found daunting and completing them with gusto. Physically, that hazy headed calm spread into my shoulders and down my spine resulting in an overall chill body vibe, which I felt was very complimentary to that hyped up state of mind as it allowed me to stay still while funneling all of that productive energy directly into the computer. I started leaning on it as a “work sativa” as I appreciated the mental stimulation it afforded while distinctly lacking that sometimes annoying fidgety edge that won’t let one stay still. All and all I really enjoyed this batch of Waiting Game and I definitely could see myself picking it up again at the right ticket. Another fantastic selection by the awesome folks down at Curated Cannabis, great job once again, keep up the excellent work!

Cake by Exclusive Melts

It’s been a long time since I’ve had some Exclusive Melts and was excited to get my hands on some. This one had that light golden yellow color I remember and was exceptionally wet.

When smelling I get skunk, citrus, diesel fuel and some mint. When dabbing the citrus and diesel fuel taste stand out the most with the skunk slightly underneath with the mint disappearing. Was a nice euphoric high that was very social and made my food much more enjoyable and eventually I was feeling pretty damn tired. This was the same quality I remember from exclusive melts just not the most exciting flavor. I’m hopeful I’ll get some of the better flavors in the next few drops. Really hoping to scoop the forbidden fruit. Overall I would definitely recommend.

American Pie by Doja Pak

Big fan of the Rs11 by Doja Pak and recently they went rec and I saw American Pie available at the Dispo. Being that I like apple terps I grabbed with no hesitation. The look on the bud was nice and disappointing at the same time. They were a little smooshed and beat up looking from presumably the Mylar bag packaging but also had such a thick coating of resin that made the greens and purples appear to have a silver hue on them. Even though beat up the structure was nice and easy to work with.

When smelling first thing you notice is pungent sour apple smell that have a subtle creaminess to it. Also there is some notes of diesel fuel too that made my nose tinge a little bit. When smoking you get this mixed flavor of fruity and mint/spice gumdrops with gas again with a creamy finish that was really satisfying and kept me going back for more. The high was outstanding as I quickly noticed how strong it was. Comes quickly over the front of your head and just sits there at your eyes get heavy then your limbs get heavy and before I knew it I was stuck and a hour went by with me doing Jack shit. I was so impressed with the nice taste and crazy strength that I messaged a few friends right away to alert them to the power this one held. Overall with my 2nd go with Doja Pak I’m super stoked and excited to try more.

Papaya Melonz #4 By Baby Yoda Hash

My first dab by Baby Yoda was clean and had a nice high but was a bit flavorless so I had some reluctancy when trying to decide if I should try this one. Percy Terps insisted that Baby Yoda is top end hash and recommend this one and boy am I glad he did. When looking at this hash first thing I noticed was how wet it was (usually means lots of terps) and the color was perfect light creme color with just a tad bit of yellow shading.

When smelling the hash I was blown away with how loud it was. The first thing that stands out was the tropical pungent stink that papaya always puts out but it had an unusual sweetness and crisp to it that really screamed tropical candy terps. When dabbing all those smells come through as yummy candy flavor that really is strong and coats your mouth with a sweet aftertaste that I really enjoyed. The high was uplifting and at times it felt strong to medium with a really relaxed vibe. It comes on to the head first and you can really feel creep over your face and weight down your eyelids but not gonna put you out. This was way better than my first try and I’ll definitely be looking for more flavors by Baby Yoda and appreciate I can always count on Percy to steer me right.

Thicc Mint Cookies By Cannabiotix

Durban Poison X Og Kush

Missed this one on my first couple scoops of CBX but kept hearing it was one of the best so I really was curious. I can definitely say I’m glad I did. Very nice bag appeal on these flowers with a combo of greens and purples with some flowers being morepurple than others with long pistils popping out in no particular pattern and overall just looking outstanding and very appetizing. Very well trimmed and great structure with no problems working with and breaking apart.

I was really pleased with the smell and this was the first time that this strain’s name really made sense as I was smelling minty cookie dough terps that was reminiscent of being in a bakery while fresh cookies being baked. There were some nice earthy and gas notes in there too. When smoking the gas and mint doughiness really comes through and smokes really smooth and tasty. The high comes on relatively quick and is strong. Very relaxing and a really great stress reliever. Definitely uplifting and made me laugh a lot. I would recommend for movies but also could have you passing out prematurely so be careful. Overall Cbx kills it and this is a prime example of that. Even there strains that I reviewed poorly smoke much better than some hyped more expensive brands.

Galactic Gas by Alien Labs

The name of this one alone how could I keep avoiding?!? Oh yeah because it’s gelato on gelato. No surprise here this was some very purple flower with very little green peeking out. The tiny orange pistils can be barely seen as they’re small and tucked away. Heavy coating of frost really gives it that iced out look too. The structure was nice but the smaller buds did make it tedious to break apart and remove the stems.

When smelling you really get smell of diesel and pine and can really feel it on my nose it’s so pungent. Typical skunk smell seems more pungent than usual as well. When smoking it’s very harsh and heavy but again the cure was good and burned clean but the taste is so abrasive it choked me everytime. The flavors that come out are earthy and gas and little bit of skunk. The high was awesome came on fast and strong. Very relaxing and definitely wanted to just sit and chill after. You really feel it start to make everything feel heavier but it’s uplifting and a stress reliever so it’s worth it and a really nice night cap. All in all not the smoothest smoke and since I can find just as heavy smoke that’s smoother I will stay away from this one in the future. I’m just not a huge fan of gelato terps but it’s still really good smoke if that’s your thing.

Sour Clementine Cookies by The Real Cannabis Chris

Chris has been rocking the Orange terps so when I saw this cross I knew I wanted to try it. As always the looks of this rosin is spectacular and showing off his “clear tech” in a way where you can read the whole label through the golden clear rosin.

When smelling the rosin you smell a little bit of orange juice terps and whole lot of onions terps but it comes together very nicely. When dabbing the first thing you taste is overripe oranges come in but quickly followed by a taste I would compare to grilled onions and DMT and it’s so confusing to my brain. Starts off so nice and pleasant and then wham this pungent taste comes in that seems like is going to get gross but then this weird mesh up sour and savory happens and I really ended up enjoying the flavors very much. The high was very uplifting and euphoric and almost energetic but not quite. Anxiety relieving and relaxing but not sedative. Was a really nice effect that could be desirable at just about any part of the day. Another awesome flavor by one of the best!

Baklava by Alien Labs

Finally got my hands on some the classics dropped by the Alien. This flower had really nice bag appeal. The different shades of purple combined with the different shades of green and the orange pistils almost gives this flower a bit of a rainbow appearance. Was also covered quite thickly by sticky resin that left some of those creamy gelato terps on my hand.

Upon opening the jar the first thing I noticed was the almost abrasive smell of gas and pine just really burned my nose was so intense. If I kept smelling I also could pick up the familiar gelato sweet creaminess. When smoking I tasted all gas and earthy terps and really expanded my lungs and had me coughing everytime. This was clean and well cured but not smooth smoke and I believe that just come with the terps. So if you like that big Og gas smoke that hurts so good I can definitely recommend this strain. For me I like more complex terps and taste and a little smoother. The structure was great and very easy to break apart. The high was outstanding came on fast and hard and definitely left me feeling relaxed. This isn’t a good strain to be active with as its very sedating even with my high tolerance I found myself feeling lazy and sluggish trying to play drums after. All in all this is another winner from alien labs but not my exact preference.
